Activating your Card, Daily Limits, Contactless, Reporting Fraud & more!

1. How do I activate my Card?

After you have ordered your card, you should activate it once you have received it:

  • Tap Cards section
  • Tap Activate card
  • Enter your 3 digit CVC number on the back of your card
  • Tap Activate

If you’ve ordered a replacement card:

  • Tap the Cards icon
  • Slide to your new card
  • Tap Activate My Card
  • Enter your 3 digit CVC number at the back of your card.

2. How to order a new Card for new customers

If you are new customer, follow these steps:

  • Open the Rizq app and Tap on Cards
  • Tap on Get your new Plastic card
  • Check your personal details
  • Add/Edit and check your shipping address
  • Choose your shipping options
  • Choose an account to link the card to
  • Confirm the order

3. How to order a new Card for existing customers

If you are an existing customer and want to order a new card, follow these steps:

  • Open the Rizq app and Tap on Cards
  • Tap on sign on Top-Right corner
  • Select Order new card
  • Tap Get your new Plastic card
  • Check your personal details
  • Add/Edit and check your shipping address
  • Choose your shipping options
  • Choose an account to link the card to
  • Confirm the order

4. What is a Virtual Card?

A Virtual Card is a temporary debit card number which can be utilized for most online purchases. They are secure because there is no physical card.

5. How to order a new Virtual Card for new customers

If you are new customer, follow these steps:

  • Open the Rizq app and Tap on Cards
  • Tap on Get your new Virtual card
  • Check your personal details
  • Choose an account to link the card to
  • Confirm the order

6. How to order a new Virtual Card for existing customers

To order a new Virtual Card:

  • Open the Rizq app and Tap on Cards
  • Tap on sign on Top-Right corner
  • Select Order new card
  • Tap Get your new Virtual card
  • Confirm Details
  • Continue and choose an account to link the card to
  • Confirm order

7. How do I freeze / unfreeze my Rizq card?

Open your Rizq app:

  • Tap Cards Section
  • Tap Freeze card to block it
  • Tap Unfreeze Card to unblock it

8. Card Security

Open your Rizq app:

  • Tap Cards Section
  • Tap on Security

Choose if you want to disable/enable ATM withdrawals, Online Transactions or Contactless Payments.

9. Setting Card Limits

Open your Rizq app:

  • Tap Cards Section
  • Tap Limit

You can set a daily limit for any amount, the limit applies to both your purchases and withdrawals

10. What happens if my card is lost or stolen?

Using the Rizq banking application you can freeze your card instantly to prevent fraud, you can then order a new card.

If you suspect fraud on your account you can contact support, who will help you solve the issue swiftly.

11. How do I report my Card lost or stolen?

Open your Rizq app:

  • Tap Cards Section
  • Tap Freeze card to block it
  • Tap Report lost or stolen
  • Choose if the card is lost or stolen or you just want to close the card
  • Report it.

12. My Card doesn’t function, what do I do?

If your card doesn’t function properly, please get in touch with us via the in-app chat if you have access to the app, or via the website chat and we will be able to help you.

13. Is my Rizq Card Contactless?

Yes! You can enable contactless payments by:

Open your Rizq app:

  • Tap Cards Section
  • Tap on Security

Choose if you want to disable/enable Contactless Payments.

14. What is Contactless?

Contactless Cards are cards that don’t require a PIN to make purchases and your purchases are accepted up to the value of £45.

Using contactless is a fast, easy and secure way to pay for purchases costing £45 and under.

Contactless payments are also known as PayWave or can be used with Apple Pay/Samsung Pay/Google Pay*.

Look for the contactless symbol on either the front or the back of your card to see if you can make contactless payments.

* Please note: Rizq Account does not support Apple Pay/Samsung Pay/Google Pay.

15. Can I turn on/off ATM withdrawals?

Absolutely! You can do this by:

  • Opening your Rizq app
  • Tapping Cards Section
  • Tapping on Security
  • Choose if you want to disable/enable ATM withdrawals

16. Can I turn on/off online transactions?

Absolutely! You can do this by:

  • Opening your Rizq app
  • Tapping Cards Section
  • Tapping on Security
  • Choose if you want to disable/enable Online Transactions

17. Updating your card delivery address

When you order a Rizq card, you enter the address you’d like us to send it to.

If you change your mind once you’ve ordered it, please get in touch through the app to let us know:

  • Tap Menu
  • Tap Support
  • Get in touch with us and we will be able to help you.

18. My Card was declined

You might have not activated your card in the app, you can do this by:

  • Tap Cards
  • Activate your card by entering your 3 digit CVC number at the back of your card

If you can see a decline message in your app

Tap on the declined payment in your app for more information. If the decline message is unclear, please get in touch.

  • Tap Menu
  • Tap Support
  • Get in touch with us and we will be able to help you.

If your card doesn’t work at a particular merchant, then it might mean one of the following: 

  • We block transactions at a particular merchant because they are considered as non-Sharia compliant
  • Some merchants might not accept our cards, in this case, please get in touch with us and provide more information:

    • Name of the merchant or ATM provider where your card’s been declined
    • The address of the store or ATM (or website if your card was used online)
    • The time and date of the attempted payment
    • The amount of the attempted payment

19. My Card payment was declined but I was still charged

If your payment was declined on the merchant’s end but went through on the Rizq app, this might be because of a problem with their card machine.

To get your money back:

  • Get in touch with us
  • We will be able to look into this for you
  • Be aware that sometimes a blocked amount might take up to 7 days to clear back into your account.
